Music Maestro!
Bose is known for its excellent sound quality, even in its nore compact devices. The brand surprises this time again with both quality and volume produced by the SoundLink. Typically for Bose, the highs and lows are sticking out, making the sound experience very dynamic. Audiophiles could write paragraph after paragraph explaining why Bose isn’t any good and is too expensive, but for the above average music lover this sounds impressive.
What’s for sure is that no other comparable product is as easy to use as the SoundLink, and that the sound for its size is very impressive. The SoundLink has four speakers on the front and two speakers pointed to eachother in the back, for the bass notes. This makes the device able to fill an entire room with sound. If you turn the device up completely the bass notes will be drowned out by the loud mids and especially loud highs. This is a technique often used by Bose to produce a rich sound at low volumes and to prevent distortion at high volumes. Your stereo won’t be blown away, but you can be sure of those high volumes: verbal communication is near impossible. Tip: put the SoundLink against a wall for better reflection of the bass.
Child’s play
Attaching a Bluetooth device with Bose’s benjamin is really simple. Turning on Bluetooth happens at the press of a button. This results in the Bluetooth indicator turning on. After keeping the button depressed for three seconds, the speaker is detectable, and the indicator will flash every second. The only thing left is to connect with Bose SoundLink and done. The speaker will then beep and the indicator will stay on continuously to indicate the success of the connection. Child’s play, no?
Bose has equipped the device with enough memory to retain six connected devices. Every time the device is turned on and a known Bluetooth apparatus is near, the connection is made automatically. When the memory is full, the device not used for the longest time will be deleted. Keeping the Bluetooth button depressed for ten seconds, however, erases the memory manually. According to Bose, the Bluetooth signal has a range of up to ten metres in optimal conditions. This is not feasible, however, when the signal has to pass through a wall or other similar obstacles. But even then the SoundLink performs admirably. Putting the device in the attic and in the mean time reading a recipe on your smartphone in the kitchen without losing your music is, with a bit of luck, possible. Or sitting at your desk and playing music through your laptop and using the SoundLink to play a bit of karaoke in bad, music is available all the time.

Using a different audio source is equally simple by means of the 3.5mm stereo cable. Just plug it in and press the AUX-button and you’re good to go.
